Dr. Walts shared his passion for reading with Ms. Kimmey’s fifth grade class.

School Board Member, Ms. Satterwhite, modeled expression and fluency when reading to Ms. Conrad’s classroom.

Mr. Erickson, Associate Superintendent for Central Elementary Schools, inspired 2 nd grade students from Ms. Chamblin’s class as he read them one of his favorite books.

Star athletes from Hylton High School read to multiple grade levels and spoke to students about the importance of reading.

Ms. Hafley’s first grade classroom loved hearing one of Hylton’s star athletes read to them.

Mr. Smith, Principal of Benton Middle School, energized first grade students as they acted out parts of his favorite book!

Ms. Poppe’s third grade class were visited by one of our community’s crime fighters as he read them a big book.

Our military servicemen were out in force, capturing the attention of our students in Ms. Holliday’s fourth grade class.

….and answering curious questions from Ms. Mishoe’s fourth grade classroom.

Kindergarten students from Ms. Richardson’s class loved being read to by firefighters from many local fire stations.
