1.3 billion people China represents a 20% of the World's population Population is growing at an average of 1 million people per month. One in every five people on the planet is a resident of China. Rising population will put demand on resources- how?

China has also seen rapid economic development- average growth of 10% in GDP per year since

As a result the population has become more affluent. Why the dip? UK $35,000 per capita. China $700 per capita This growth in affluence will put pressure on resources- how?
