Druzai rural community Established on 20 December, 2002 Chairwoman of the Community Council - Dalia Taparauskiene It started from the women club „Druzinta“ Has its premises 66 members
Community structure: Decisions adopted by: Community Council with 11 members, elected in the general meeting Community represented by: Community Chairperson elected in the general meeting
Goals: Consolidate and strengthen the Community Assist Community members in trouble Protect their interests Develop cultural and sports activities Develop leaders Prepare and implement projects
Activities: Prepares and participates in projects, consolidates people for joint activities Organises cultural events, work gatherings (collect litter, plant trees) Actively participates in national and district events Organises charity campaigns Organises trips to famous places in Lithuania Cooperates with other communities
Activities: Annual gathering - „Glad to be together“ Christmas gathering – a King& Queen elected Gatherings, youth sport events, etc. Women’s club „Druzinta“
Projects: „Learn Lithuania“ „Youth wants to help the village“ „Joint work strengthens the Community“

Problems (1): People are passive, do not want to participate in the activities, have no motivation People have no experience to prepare projects, and the chairperson has to do the work on a voluntary basis Little funding
Problemos (2): Community cannot participate in European projects because has no money
Funding: Through projects (we use information from internet) In the average 3 projects implemented per year 2 % of taxes given by people. Support by village population, farmers Charity
Results: The number of members grows because the Community is becoming more and more popular More trust in the Community activities People who lived in Druzai participate in the activities too
Results: Cooperation with institutions. Better computer literacy Cultural and sports events organised Nicer and better environment
