Electrical Materials Continued

Powering your home Homes in Ontario now have Smart Meters, these meters keep track of how much you use and when. The idea is to get people to use power during non-peak times. The wires typically entering a home are for 100 amp service. Homeowners can upgrade this depending on the needs of the structure

Electrical Panel

Breakers Breaker switches control how much of a load a circuit can handle. You can buy different breaker size depending on what you have on the circuit. For example, the circuit that runs your light in the bed may be a 6 amps and the circuit that runs your hot tub may require a 30 amp breaker.
