Vocabulary  Archipelago- a chain of islands  Ring of Fire- a circle of active volcanoes that circle the Pacific Ocean. There are many active volcanoes along the mountains of Central America.  Coniferous-a kind of cone bearing tree, more common in the mountain areas.
