October 14th Dear Journal Ellie is gone. The police said that she was missing, possibly that she has ‘fallen’ off the bridge into the flood water. Mom begged me to go to the funeral, but I refused, Ellie is not dead, I can feel her. I'm still sitting here hugging her sheets, her sheets smell just like her… I don’t know if you really are dead or not, but Ellie, I will find you, I have to find you.

October 10th Dear Journal I haven't written for a long time, but today I just have to. It has been one year since Ellie went missing, I was just eating noodles on top of her covers today, dripping the soup and all. Mom said I fainted, I don’t know why, I saw Ellie, she was falling. Then next thing I know, I felt numb and cold, everything went black. Now I have just woken up, and sitting in the hospital.

March 10th Dear Journal Today at school this weird office lady came and gave us free cup cakes and sandwiches.
