Brave Bill and his adventures into Parliament!

I'm only little at the moment but I want to be big and important like my dad. You see he's a Law! I want to be just like him. So….

Here I am at the House of Commons. Its incredibly tiring here, I have to be read several times. MP’s ask me questions about myself and I answer them. Then changes are made to me.

So now I've been to the House of Commons and they wanted to change something so they gave me socks.

Now i have to go back to the House of Commons for another reading. I wonder what they will decide next?!

As you can see I’ve been given an umbrella. This is because I’ve had more amendments. Oh, this is tiring work!

Now the ‘Select Committee’ have printed several of me out so others can see me.

Now to the House of Lords…

House of Lords I'm here at the House of Lords. Now they want to talk to me and discuss.

Luckily they agreed with everything I’m about so they didn’t want to make changes, it could have been a long process if they did. House of Lords

I would have had to go back to the very beginning and start all over. There would have been more questions and debates. House of Lords

So I've had a long journey. I've had a first and second reading, been through a committee stage, report stage and a third reading by both the House of Commons and House of Lords. Luckily my ordeal is nearly over but there is still one big hurdle I must cross- Royal Assent.

I'm here for Royal Assent. Inside is the Queen she will make me a law!

Queen. Now I’ve met the queen. She has signed a document and I’m now a law. She has accepted me.

Now I’m a LAW! Look at my cool new hat and briefcase! Even though I have been passed. I may not come into force straight away but I will wait.

And he was a Bill forever and ever and lived happily ever after. The End.
