Conclusions EDAMAT is one tool for monitoring the inclusion of disability in mainstream public policy. If used it has the potential to make comparative analysis between countries. However, mainstreaming is contingent on sufficient human and financial resources being made available. Ongoing critical dialogue between governments and civil society is essential Mainstreaming has to be based upon the tenets of the UNCRPD.
