By Brandee Burke LEARNING WORDS THROUGH PICTURES

Before:After: Here I cropped the photo to focus on the word “star”. Then I used “I’m Feeling Lucky” button to help highlight the word more. I then adjusted the shadows of the picture so that it had a darker background. Then I applied the graduated tint effect to the picture. To finish it up I then touched up some blemishes on the picture that had some spots with the retouch feature.

Before:After: I first cropped the photo to emphasize the word “Love”. Then I used the sepia effect. I turned up the shadow effect about half way. Then I used the straightening button to straighten my word. Then I retouched the picture to get rid of the top of another letter in it.

Before:After: First I cropped the picture to fit the outline of the word. Then I used the “I’m feeling lucky button”. I Increased the shadows next. I used the neutral color picker around black. Last I used the “retouch” button to get rid of some blemishes on the “h”.

Before:After: First I cropped the photo. Then I used, “I’m feeling lucky.” Then I made the picture black and white. Then I increased the shadows.

Before:After: First I cropped the photo. Then I applied the “pencil sketch” effect and turned up the radius and strength and turned the fade down. Then I turned the shadows, color temperature, and highlights up a bit.

Before:After: I first cropped the photo. I used the neon effect and then I added some fill light, shadows, and highlights. Added a glow effect and turned the intensity down. Then I used the retouch feature to take out the words in the bottom. Then I cropped it again to get rid of the highlights on the bottom of the picture that the retouch couldn’t grab. Then I used the Neutral color picker and increased the highlights of the picture.

Before:After: I began with cropping the photo, then the “feeling lucky” tab. Then I applied the Lomo-ish effect. Then I turned the blur edges down all the way. I increased the color temperature a bit. Then I added text to the photo, changed the color of it, the font, and the font size. In the end I turned up the fill light a bit.

Before:After: I first rotated the picture clockwise once. Then cropped the photo to focus on the word, “yourself”. Then used the, “I’m feeling lucky” button. Then used the HDR-ish effect and turned the fade all the way down. Then I used the boost effect and turned the strength up a bit. Next I turned the shadows up a bit.

Before:After: I first cropped the photo to highlight the word, “movement.” I then used the auto contrast tool. Then I turned the shadow up a lot. Then I put the “cross process” effect on the photo. Then I added the neon effect and changed the fad and color of the neon. Next I turned the fill light and highlights up.

Before:After: First I cropped the photo, then I used auto contrast and auto color. Then I increased the shadows. Then I applied the “boost” effect to the picture.

Before:After: First I gave it the “polaroid” effect and added a background color. Then I used the “warmify” effect. After that I increased the shadow of the picture and the highlights a bit.

Before:After: First I cropped the photo, then I used the “I’m feeling lucky” effect. Then I used the saturation effect. Then I increased the shadows to the max, and the fill light and the highlights up a bit. Next I used the infrared film effect. Then finished with using retouch to fix the first “r.”

Before:After: First I cropped the photo then I used the “I’m feeling lucky” effect. Then I used the comic book effect. Then I used the focal Black and White effect and turned the fade up. Last, I increased the shadows and the highlights a bit.

Before:After: First I cropped the photo, then I increased the shadows and used auto color and auto contrast. Then I used the Lomo-ish effect on the picture. Then I used the retouch feature to take out the word “Cinemark.” Then I increased the fill light a bit. Then I applied the Holga-ish effect.

Before:After: First I turned the highlights up and the shadows. Then I turned the color temperature up a bit. Then I applied the sepia effect to the photo and turned up the shadows again. To finish it up I applied the 1960’s effect.
