New Kingdom Hyksos were driven out, “New Kingdom” began b.c.e Capital city of Thebes Strong Pharaohs emerged once again Had strong army Used chariots, horses, bronze weapons

Egyptian Empire Full time army Expanded empire Conquered land all the way to the Taurus mts. at one point
