GOALS FOR THIS PROGRAM

Our intent is to create an interactive and dynamic learning experience that fully engages participants. PROGRAM DESIGN INTENT Multiple vehicles will be used to facilitate learning. 1.Sharing information 2.Open dialogue 3.Storytelling 4.Exercises 5.Presentations In addition: Social media will be integrated into the learning experience, especially Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. Stories and testimonials of youth empowerment will be incorporated throughout the program. DELIVERY VEHICLES

1.All Change Agents will have participated in a regional training before Prague; this includes training in the YMCA Change Model and receiving an assignment to conduct a personal research project. 2.All Change Agents will have participated in webinar learning sessions before Prague; topics include the Change Model, leadership, global citizenship/awareness and civic engagement. 3.All Change Agents will have wireless access (enabling use of the internet/social media) during the event; in particular we will integrate Facebook and Twitter into training sessions. A limited number of tablets may be available for use by Change Agents who do not bring a smart phone or tablet. 4.Change Agent training will take place in a temporary tent facility with power, voice amplification for speakers, and projection (one screen or two to be determined based on the facility size and setting). 5.Small-group activities will take place primarily within the tent. Informal spaces/settings (e.g., grass areas) may be available outside of the space and if so these can be accessed by groups and used for small group activities; we will not have access to multiple rooms for small group activities. ASSUMPTIONS

1.All Change Agents will receive a program overview and preparatory information well in advance of the Prague training event. Target release is early June. 2.We will encourage Change Agents, through this preparatory information, as well as via the Change Agents Facebook page, to share information prior to this event. Questions may include: Who is someone I look up to in my life (someone who inspires or guides me)? Why? Who is someone who looks up to me? Why?
