What is Self Confidence? Self-confidence Having confidence in oneself and in one's powers and abilities.

TYPES OF SELF CONFIDENCE Low Confidence Optimum Confidence Over Confidence

Low Self Confidence Staying in your comfort zone, fearing failure and so avoid taking risks. Governing your behavior based on what other people think. Working hard to cover up mistakes and hoping that you can fix the problem before anyone notices.

Optimal Self Confidence Competence -- possess the knowledge, strategies, skills and abilities necessary for success, Preparation – sufficiently prepared so you can successfully perform those skills and strategies in a particular competitive situation. Self confident people inspire confidence in others.

Superiority Complex Makes you egoistic and irritating. Bragging about your qualities and achievements will not make you reach anywhere

Types of Over Confidence Inflated confidence False confidence

Inflated Confidence People who believe they are better than they really are and have inflated opinion of themselves and their skills. They overestimate their abilities while understanding their opponent’s skills. Often they are competent but don’t prepare adequately.

False Confidence Confident on outside and inside fear. Pretend to be brash, cocky and arrogant Excuses Difficult to coach because they Won’t accept responsibility of mistakes Normally prepare hard but lack the competence to be successful

Hare and the Tortoise

Hare thought he’d sit under a tree for some time and relax before continuing the race.

Hare and the Tortoise The tortoise plodding on overtook him and soon finished the race, emerging as the undisputed champ.

Hare and the Tortoise The hare woke up and realized that he’d lost the race.

Hare and the Tortoise Interesting Version Continues…

Hare and the Tortoise He realized that he’d lost the race only because he had been Over-Confident and Careless.

Hare and the Tortoise Challenged the tortoise to another race.

Hare and the Tortoise Won by several miles. “Its good to be slow and steady: but its better to be fast and consistent.”.

There’s no way I can beat the hare in a race the way it was currently formatted. Let’s try in different route. Hare and the Tortoise

In keeping with his self-made commitment to be consistently fast, the hare took of and ran at top speed until he came to a broad river. Hare and the Tortoise

The tortoise trundled along got into the river, swam to the opposite bank, continued walking and finished the race

Hare and the Tortoise

So they decided to do the last race again, but to run as a team this time. FRIENDS

SELF BELIEF Remember your childhood: You never gave-up to stand and walk!

Thanks Ratan
