What does this have to do with prayer?

Livin’ on a PRAYER So what did you learn last week that prayer is NOT?

Prayer is NOT about using God has a sort of heavenly vending machine to get what I want. Livin’ on a PRAYER

HOW to Pray

HOW to Pray You should be on your knees when you pray. You should clasp your hands and close your eyes when you pray. You should pray out loud when you pray. You should pray silently to yourself when you pray. You should be holding prayer beads when you pray. You should recite the Lord’s prayer when you pray…. ”Our Father, which art in heaven….”

There are no RULES in prayer Livin’ on a PRAYER

Don’t use prayer to try to look cool and impress people.

Jesus says… when you pray: Remember you are praying to your FATHER in heaven Remember you are praying to a HOLY and POWERFUL God. Tell God you want His WILL for your life. Ask God for those things you NEED. Tell God you’re SORRY for the things you’ve done wrong. Ask God to help you stay away from TEMPTATIONS.
