Workshop results High hydrological significance of mountains Great amount of river runoff is formed in the mountains Summer peak because of snow and glacier melting Especially important in arid regions Problems of water supply in these regions because of climate change (glacier melting, less precipitation) Negative effect of climate change on hydropower as a consequence of changes in river discharge
