John 12:23–24 And Jesus answered them, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

Colossians 1:15–20 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities……

all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be……

preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

He set His face.

He planted His life.

1 Corinthians 15:36–38 You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain……

38 But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.

He waited for His harvest.

Habakkuk 2:2–3 And the L ORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. 3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end - it will not lie……

If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

Vision is fulfilled in the future, but plants in the now.

Genesis 8:22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.

Vision: A dream of a better intermediate future.

There is no such thing as instant vision. It must be planted, then: Fertilized Weeded Watered Nurtured

In the next 15 years, our vision is that, every man, woman, boy and girl living in the DL (2) Triangle will hear about Jesus and be touched by His love through someone partnering with Hickory Ridge.

Romans 10:14–15 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?......

15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Isaiah 30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it.”
