Use puppets to retell The Gruffalo story and learn the song. Forest Rangers Birds: studying, drawing, sculptures, making feeders. Forest Schools Use Peter and the Wolf to stimulate music composition. Visit Beechenhurst for a scavenger hunt and to build dens. Visit the Dene Heritage Centre to research the history of the forest. Have a teddy bear’s picnic and build a den for their teddy. Read Enid Blyton’s Faraway Tree and interpret with drama and art. Share the Robin Hood stories. Choreograph Forest Dances. Develop map reading skills. Forest Rangers role play.
