SIX PEOPLE WHO SURVIVED HIROSHIMA  Miss Toshiko Sasaki, Dr. Masakazu Fujii, Mrs. Hatsuyo Nakamura, Father Wilhem Kleinsorge, Dr. Terufumi, Mr. Kiyoshi

IMPORTANT DISCOVERY ABOUT HIROSHIMA After World War II, most of Hiroshima would be rebuilt, though one destroyed section was set aside as a reminder of the effects of the atomic bomb. Each August 6, thousands of people gather at Peace Memorial Park to join in interfaith religious services commemorating the anniversary of the bombing.

HISTORY OF HIROSHIMA  On August 6,1945,while WW11,the Americans dropped the first atomic bomb without warning. It destroyed 90% of the city and lots of others do to radiation. The Americans practiced the atomic bomb in secret it was called ‘ The Manhattan Project’.

MEANING TO MY LIFE  The importance to my life and others is what war can do us. Imagine if this would have happened to us millions of people would have died it was a terrible thing. This has taught me what war can do to people.

OTHER’S PERSPECTIVE  Jacob Rubio  Q: How do you feel about HIROSHIMA  A: It was terrible thing that happened.  Angel Hernandez  Q: Do you think we should have bombed them and why ?  A: Yes, because they killed our men.  Logan Bland  How do you feel about hiroshima  That’s what those JAPANESE people get.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS  Future developments for this problem the radiation from the bomb still affect Hiroshima in some parts. Ex. The soil is not good in some parts and water is also bad. They are making a machine to stop that.

NEW WORDS Conventional Explosive Charge: used to weld uranium. Beta ray: ray consisting of fast electrons. Alpha rays: ray consisting of two protons and netrons.

ADVANTAGES  It is good to know about how bad war is. The advantage of doing this topic is very easy to find.

SOURCES  A thank you to Baltimore Sun article, UTC Japan teaching module, Global Post article, CBS.news, History channel.com, and Jacob rubio for answering my questions, and Angel Hernandez, and Logan Bland.
