Hologram Basics: A laser-generated image with three-dimensional properties Created by capturing the intensity and phase information produced by the interference of two (or more) beams of light 2 basic types of holograms: Transmission and Reflective Reference Beam Object Beam Interference Pattern

Transmission Type Holograms the holographic plate is placed behind the object and laser, or to the side at 45 degree angle Must be viewed with laser light Captures an image much bigger than the holographic plate Allows an image can be projected onto a screen or other surface with a laser

Litiholo Setup – Instant Hologram Film

White Light Reflection Type Holograms the holographic plate is placed between the object and laser can be viewed with “white” incandescent light (or the sun) Contact Style Exposure

Integraf Setup – “wet” process Hologram Film

Hologram Tips: Follow all printed instructions Insure proper and safe use of all laser equipment Lasers should be run for approximately 5 minutes before attempting any exposure Any kind of vibration or movement (this includes talking which produces sound wave vibrations) will destroy the interference pattern and leave you with a blank holographic plate Holographic equipment and plates are expensive $$$, if in doubt about any step in the process….ask!!!
