Analyzing Experiments (Block 4 Only) Review the Simpsons Labs

Lab Safety QOD: How do I stay safe in lab? In your Bell Work section, please describe a lab “worst case scenario” and how you should respond in order to stay safe.

Graphing Notes Graphs are a way to display data or results Good graphs contain five parts Title: Tells what the graph is about. Concise statement above or below the graph Independent Variable: Always found on the X (or horizontal) axis

Good graphs contain five parts Dependent Variable: Always found on the Y (or vertical) axis Scale: Each axis is labeled and numbered in an consistent way; each block or line on an axis having the same value. Key/Description: A brief explanation of parts of the graph readers may not understand as needed.

Graph Practice & HW First graph as a class Second graph on your own for a grade. This is homework if you do not finish, and it is due first thing on Monday morning.
