Slide 3Lesson 18: Understanding and Preventing Sexual and Racial Discrimination Discrimination Definitions of Discrimination –Sexual Discrimination - to make employment decisions based primarily on an employee’s sex instead of his or her qualification. It is the action taken by an individual to deprive a person of a right because of their sex. It can occur overtly, covertly, intentionally or unintentionally.
