ABOUT RAY Born on August 22, 1920 in Waukegan, Illinois He graduated from a Los Angeles high school in That was the end of his formal education, but he learned mostly from life and its experiences. He was one of those people who changed the way people think.
CHILDHOOD Bradbury's early childhood in Waukegan was characterized by his loving extended family. These formative years provided the foundations for both the author and his stories. As a teenager, Bradbury often roller-skated through Hollywood, trying to spot celebrities. He befriended other talented and creative people, like special effects maestro Ray Harryhausen and radio star George Burns. His first published short story was "Hollerbochen's Dilemma," printed in 1938 in Imagination!, an amateur fan magazine
ABOUT HIS EARLY LIFE His mother was a Swedish immigrant He learned most of what he knew from his grandparents who owned a news paper Ray is also directly descended from Mary Bradbury who was tried, convicted and sentenced to hang as a witch in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692.
FAMILY Bradbury had older twin brothers, Leonard and Samuel, who were born in 1916, and a younger sister, Elizabeth, born in In 1947, Ray Bradbury married Marguerite McClure.
ALL HIS WORKS Ray has many works that he has done since he is still alive most of his works are fiction; since, he was one of the first people who stared writing fiction. His works are short stories, novels, and other literature.
