TAPP?  Talk  About  Personal  Pollution

WHY TAPP?  To help you understand your impact on water quality  To encourage you to take action by adopting some slightly different approaches to things you do every day.  To help make local lakes, sinks and streams cleaner.

WHAT’S THE PROBLEM? STORM WATER RUNOFF POLLUTION  Rainwater that flows OVER land into streams and rivers, picking up pollution as it goes along

EXAMPLES OF POLLUTANTS  Sediment-Dirt  Excess nutrients-Fertilizer  Bacteria-Dog poop!  Debris-Leaves, plastic bags, bottles

POLLUTED STORM WATER RUNOFF HARMS…  Plants  Fish and animals  People
