Afghanistan’s School System Primary school (Grades 1-6)- Learning math, writing and reading Secondary school (Grades 7-9 & 10-12)- Must pass an entrance exam to get in Religious school- Reading the Koran Education is mandatory until you are 9 years old Teacher’s salaries are paid by the government 8.4 million students are enrolled in the education system in Afghanistan (Afghanistan: Education)
