2 kinds of energy Kinetic Energy – Energy of motion. – Depends on mass and velocity. – KE = Mass X Velocity 2 / 2 – Measured in Joules 3

2 kinds of energy Potential Energy – energy that is stored and held in readiness. – Elastic PE – when something is stretched out. I.E. a rubber band – Gravitational PE – depends on the height of an object – Measured in Joules 4
