Budget Plan Project

Based on all of the work you have been doing in class with creating your budget you will now break everything down to present to the class in a powerpoint presentation.

1)Introductory slide with your name and title of your budget plan (you can be creative with the title) 2)A slide with your chosen career and salary

3) Include your degree/level of education for this career (BA, MA, JD/LLC, PhD, MD), and your salary broken down including gross annual and monthly pay, net annual and monthly pay)

4)In the next slide you are going to include the information you found on rent/mortgage. Provide information about the apartment/town home, house you are looking at and calculate your monthly payments

5)The following slide should include information on your car and car payments/insurance List the year, make and model of the car you are interested in and state if it it new or used Show how much the car costs and tell how long you have the car loan for and what the interest rate is, then calculate your monthly payments Don’t forget to also include information about your car insurance and your payments for that as well

6) There should also be a slide on student loans State what kind of student loan(s) you have. How much did you receive and need to pay back? How much time do you have to pay your loan(s) back?. Calculate your payments

7) There should also be a slide which addresses your variable costs These should include cable bill, phone (house, cell), groceries, utilities (heat, electricity), entertainment, gasoline.

8) Next divide your budget up and show all of you fixed and variable expenses: Fixed: Ex: Mortgage/rent, car payment, health insurance…… Variable: EX: Cable, phone, groceries, utilities, entertainment……

Finally, time to put it all together and present your budget plan! 9) Once you have done all of the slides for each individual part, make a table that puts ALL of your monthly expenses together
