Presentation transcript:

FIRST 2-3 CHAPTERS After reading the first 2-3 chapters of the book, The Watsons Go To Birmingham, I had plenty of thoughts about the book. For example, I thought that Byron was a horrible kid who everyone hated. Also, I thought that Kenny's bully in the story, Larry, was in control of the all the kids at the school everyone goes to. One last thought I had about the book was the book would only be about a 10 year old boy’s life. But little did I know all my thoughts would change.

BYRON In the beginning of the book, I thought that Byron was a horrible kid. But after finishing the book, I realized that he was a pretty good kid. He just didn’t think about the consequences of the things he did. On the outside, he was a juvenile delinquent but on the inside, he was an awesome kid.

LARRY’S BULLYING In the beginning of the book, I thought that Larry was the bully of the story’s school. Clark elementary. But I was wrong. After Byron beat him up, I realized that Byron was the boss of the school.

After reading the first few chapters, I realized that the story was not all about a 10 year old boy. The story was about all the characters. The story has to deal with, Byron's life and how he struggles to be a good kid. The story is also about Mr. and Mrs. Watson deciding on what to do with their three kids. The story talks about Joey, (Kenny’s little sister) always feeling bad for Byron and never understands why he acts the way he does. These are only some, of the things the story talks about.

So these were all the thoughts I had after reading the first 2-3 chapters and how all those thoughts have changed after finishing the book, The Watsons Go To Birmingham – 1963.
