Found Poem Found poems take existing texts and refashion them, reorder them, and present them as poems. The literary equivalent of a collage, found poetry is often made from newspaper articles, street signs, graffiti, speeches, letters, or even other poems.

Found Poem Your goal is to create a poem using just the words available to you on the page. The subject of the poem, the order of the words, and how the poem appears on the paper is all decided by you.

Found Poem Examples Option 1: Draw circles/shapes around the words that you want, and make them stick out by lightly shading, or coloring the background text.

Found Poem Examples Option 2: Draw circles/shapes around the words that you want, and make them stick out by creating a picture of a related object in the background text.

Found Poem Requirements Either circle words/shade background text, or circle words/create picture in background text. Use at least 20 words/phrases in your poem DUE MONDAY!
