Why use ICT in lessons? At the centre of our ICT policy should be the understanding that ICT should be used not for its own sake, or just to develop pupils ICT skills but as a way of increasing pupils ability to access the History curriculum. (Beal High School/Baker)

Useful for typing up essays, newspaper articles, projects etc. Useful for assessing and selecting information using copy and paste. Link to literacy. Example: Images of Elizabeth, a Year 8 lesson.
