José L. Godoy

The solar system is the Sun and the celestial bodies that orbit around it.

The Sun is a star. It’s got its own light

Planet Earth A planet is a large body of rock or gas that orbits around the Sun. It hasn’t got its own light..

The 8 Planets and the dwarf planets

The Moon It’s a satellite. It orbits around a planet, The Earth. It takes 28 days. As it moves, its shape apparently changes, so we talk about the 4 phases of the Moon

Other celestial bodies Asteroids are chunks of rock or metal that orbit the sun. If they fall to Earth they are called meteorites Comets are large balls of ice and dust that orbit the sun.
