Shakespeare Facts Shakespeare wasn’t born into a rich family. His dad made gloves and had to help out. The first time he watched a play was when he was 4, he loved the theatre and he would walk miles just to see one. When he grew older, he knew he wanted to be a playwright and he knew he had to try his best so he left his home and moved to London. Eventually he did become a famous playwright and wrote, we think, about 37 plays and 154 poems!!!

Theatre Trip to see Macbeth Last week we were lucky enough to see the performance of Macbeth in Wylotts Theatre.
