What to do about mdgeduscen and mdgeduelas?

mdgeduscen Existing studies –Needs assessments and/or PRSPs –Analyses of social spending leading to social goals (by sector) –Other partial equilibrium estimations available Look for the opinion of experts –To validate the studies and calibration of MAMS –To turn qualitative opinion into numbers for MAMS Ah hoc estimations –Look at past trends for public spending by sector and MDG achievement and indirectly estimate how much would spending need to increase to achieve the goals still needs validation

mdgeduelas Best approach is to estimate –MAMS is unique in the analysis/modeling of the MDGs so the elasticities may not be readily available in existing studies –Logit/probit models –Data availability? Existing studies on determinants of social goals –Likely for education, health, and sanitation as a whole –Limited for the educational detail in MAMS Elasticities for other countries of similar development –Not the best and realistic options but sometimes the only one –How do we assess similar development?
