2 Chapter 2: Objectives To highlight the complexities of sexual exploitation and abuse so as to Unpack the issues facing participants Highlight HIV as an integral part of the work, Equip them with information on guiding principles to handle future challenges. Explore the link between HIV, Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.

4 SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND ABUSE AS DEFINED BY IASC SEXUAL ABUSE: Actual or threatened physical intrusion of a sexual nature, including inappropriate touching, by force or under unequal or coercive conditions

5 EXPLOITATION: Any abuse of a position of vulnerability, differential power, or trust for sexual purpose; this includes profiting monetarily, socially or politically from sexual exploitation of another
