29 Aug Dear Leopold Scholtz My name is ………………. and I am a lecturer at the Swedish National Defence College in Stockholm. I am currently working on an article on the regional aspects of civil wars and the problem of external support to belligerents in these wars. I will use the SADF in Namibia/Angola as a case study of how to address external support. I have read several of your articles on the SADF in Namibia/Angola and I am wondering if you might be interested in talking with me about your research? I and a colleague of mine, ………….., will visit South Africa in September. We will be in Cape Town between 9 and 13 September, in Pretoria/Johannesburg between 15 and 20 September, and finally end our trip at the Second South African Conference on Strategic Theory in Stellenbosch between 22 and 23 September. If you are in the neighbourhood, maybe we could meet over coffee? Otherwise, maybe we could talk over phone? Looking forward to hear from you. Best regards …………………………… Fil Dr ………………………..
