Amazon report

Intro Every day rainforests are getting destroyed more because we are getting more greedy.

What is so special about the Amazon The amazon rainforest is the lungs of the Earth, and they are keeping us alive by giving us breathable oxygen. The Amazon rainforest is the worlds biggest rainforest.

Canopy A canopy is where branches overlap and help animals stay dry when they are in the trees. It is very useful for animals to communicate if there is a gap. during the day the canopy is a lot warmer than the forest floor.

Plants More than two thirds of the world’s plants are found in tropical rainforest. The plants in the Amazon have spread over 2 million square miles. Plants that provide shelter and food for rainforest animals are also taking part in gas exchanges.

Cattle farming Cattle farming is the leading cause of deforestation. People get cows to eat all the grass so they can have mines and get to trees.

Road construction Logging roads give easy access to poachers that hunt endangered wildlife. In Trans Amazon highway resulted in deconstruction of huge areas of the rainforest by poor colonist's, loggers and land speculators.

The importance of the rainforest We would not be able to breathe without trees because they take in all the unbreatheable gases. The rainforest also helps stabilizes our climate.

Conclusion Can you imagine the world without any green, beautiful, lush trees?

Glossary Endangered – rare, not many left Communicating – talking, speaking Poachers – people who steal things
