The Serra Club of Saginaw Who we are Our mission Who is Father Juniper Serra? Why join Serra?

The Serra Club of Saginaw Founded June 20, 1951 Serra International was founded in 1935 Currently there are more than 20,000 member in 1,100 clubs in 46 countries on six continents We work closely with the Diocesan Vocation Office to promote vocations We currently have 43 members Visit to learn more

Our Mission Our mission is to foster and affirm vocations to the ordained priesthood and vowed religious life in the United States and, through this ministry, our member’s common Catholic faith.

Who is Father Junipero Serra? Born in Spain in 1713 Entered the order of St. Francis in 1730 Volunteered to serve Franciscan missions in the new world Founded nine missions in California Widely credited with helping to bring civilization to California Died August 28, 1784

Why Join Serra? To serve our Church by promoting vocations Fellowship and spiritual growth Educational programs Many special events throughout the year Visit to learn more Note: The Serra Club of Saginaw meets twice monthly on the first and third Tuesday of each month usually at the Center for Ministry.
