INTRODUCTION  Kaiyue Kang (Gabriella) PRT major Hospitality emphasis  Internship Place: Doubletree Suites by Hilton Salt Lake City Downtown  Position: Operation Intern

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES  Goal 1: Get a basic understanding of how do different departments work and cooperate with other departments in the hotel during the 12 weeks’ internship.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES  Objectives : Try different positions in different departments. Learn how staffs in different departments cooperate with each other as a team.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES  Goal 2: Gain more specific skills and experiences in departments I would like to start my career with during the periods I work in those departments, like Front Office Department and Sales Department.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES  Objectives: Work with staffs in those departments and learn as much as I can. Try to apply all the skills and knowledge I have learned to work for those departments and accumulate more experiences in those fields.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES  Goal 3: Compare the experiences I gain from this 12-week internship with my previous experiences I gained from my small internship and my experiences when I worked in a hotel in China before, and analyze those differences and summarize some useful information for my future hospitality career.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES  Objectives: Compare the experiences I am having during the internship with my previous working experiences, and analyze both positive and negative sides of the different experiences. List some important information and things I need to consider more when I start to build my career, and summarize useful information in the list that will help my future hospitality career in fields I am interested in.
