The Outer Animal RatFeb Feb OxFeb Feb TigerFeb Jan RabbitJan Feb DragonFeb Feb SnakeFeb Jan HorseJan Feb The Outer Animal is traditionally what most Westerners think of when they think of Chinese Astrology. It is the animal assigned to all persons born within any given year. The Outer Animal is the most superficial element of the zodiac- it is simply the way that you appear outwardly to others, not necessarily how you really are.

The Inner Animal Feb 04 - Mar 05 1st - Tiger Mar 06 - Apr 04 2nd - Rabbit Apr 05 - May 04 3rd - Dragon May 05 - June 05 4th - Snake Jun 06 - Jul 06 5th - Horse Jul 07 - Aug 06 6th - Ram Aug 07 - Sep 07 7th - Monkey Sep 08 - Oct 07 8th - Rooster Oct 08 - Nov 06 9th - Dog Nov 07 - Dec 06 10th - Pig Dec 07 - Jan 05 11th - Rat Jan 06 - Feb 03 12th - Ox An individual's monthly animal sign is called their inner animal and is concerned with what motivates a person. Since this sign dictates the person's love life and inner persona, it is critical to a proper understanding of the individual's compatibility with other signs.

The Secret Animal 11:00am - 01:00am rat 01:00am- 03:00am ox 03:00am - 05:00am tiger 05:00am - 07:00am rabbit 07:00am - 09:00am dragon 09:00am - 11:00am snake 11:00am - 1:00pm horse 1:00pm - 3:00pm Ram 3:00pm - 5:00pm monkey 5:00pm - 7:00pm rooster 7:00pm- 9:00pm dog 9:00pm - 11:00pm boar The secret animal is thought to be a persons truest representation, since this animal is determined by the smallest denominator: a persons birth hour. It is therefore important to know the exact time of birth to determine it. It is also important to compensate for daylight savings time.
