Turing test For assessing machine intelligence

The components A computer (machine) running an AI program (put in a room) – This is the machine that “sitting for the test” Another computer with a human answering the questions (to be asked by an interrogator) An interrogator (i.e. a human) sitting outside the room If the computer succeeds in fooling the interrogator, i.e. the interrogator cannot distinguish the machine from the human, then, Turing argues, the machine may be assumed to be “intelligent”

COIT, UNITEN3 Aiyo, siapa yang menjawab soalan ini? Jawapan tu bagus sekali, ada standard, ada logic... I guess it’s the human inside the room lah :::: Q1 Q2 Qn A1 A2 A3

Two situations for AI If the interrogator made more wrong guesses than the correct ones – The computer is deemed to pass the Turing test i.e. Artificial Intelligence (AI) exists in the program If the interrogator cannot make a guess within the stipulated time (e.g. 30 seconds) for many answers – The machine may be assumed to be “intelligent”
