(The people asked,) “Isn’t this Jesus – the carpenter (The people asked,) “Isn’t this Jesus – the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren’t His sisters here with us?” Mark 6:2-3 I saw none of the other apostles – only James, the brother of Jesus. Galatians 1:19

Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that He and His disciples were no even able to eat. When His family heard about this, they went to take charge of Him (seize Him), for they said, “He is out of His mind” (out of place). Mark 3:20-21 Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call Him. A crowd was sitting around Him and they told Him, “Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.” “Who are my mother and my brothers?” He asked. Mark 3:31-33

After this, Jesus went around in Galilee, purposely staying away from Judea because the Jews were there waiting to take His life. John 7:1

But when the Jewish Feasts of Tabernacles was near, Jesus’ brothers said to Him, “You ought to leave here and go to Judea, so that Your disciples may see the miracles You do. No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since You are doing these things, show Yourself to the world.” For even His brothers did not believe in Him. John 7:2-5

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins…, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day…, and that He appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, He appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time…. Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all He appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born. 1 Corinthians 15:3-7

Diffusion of Innovation Theory Jesus said, “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” John 7:6-8

When they arrived they went upstairs to the room where they were staying (to wait for the Holy Spirit). Those present were Peter, John….. They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. Acts 1:13-14

When they had finished, James spoke up: “Brothers, listen to me… When they had finished, James spoke up: “Brothers, listen to me…. It is my judgment, therefore, that we…..” Acts 15:13, 19
