Presentation transcript:

Angles - Formed when two rays share a common endpoint

Adjacent Angles – Angles that share a vertex, one side and no interior points.

Vertical Angles – Pairs of angles formed where two lines intersect. These angles are formed by rays pointing in opposite directions.

Complementary Angles – A pair of angles whose measures sum to 90 degrees. Each angle in the pair is the other’s complement.

Acute angle – An angle whose measure is less than 90 degrees

Obtuse Angle – An angle whose measure is greater than 90 degrees.

Can you describe this angle? Obtuse Angle Acute Angle Complementary Angles Vertical Angles Adjacent Angles

Choose one of the 5 terms. Create on notebook paper or any 8 ½ by 11 inch piece of paper a poster. On this poster must be the name, its definition, and a visual representation. Your name must be written on the front of the poster. Your poster will be evaluated on the following basis: 1.Contains all the required elements. 2.Neatly written, no spelling errors 3.Colorful and original Any questions?
