2 WP7 OBJECTIVE  to help NCPs to become experts by increasing their awareness of the state of the art in the environment sector

3 WP7 TASKS  Task 1. Study of the environmental sector (one per partaking country)  Task 2. Creating an overview of the gathered information (“map” of environment sector)  Task 3. Dissemination of information and increasing the success rate of submitted proposals (task leader: Detelin Markov)

WORK DONE Questionnaire and database Section 1 – NCP part (General information, Expenditure to ENV sector, Government expenditures to ENV sector – thematic areas, Government R&D expenditures to ENV sector, National programmes in ENV sector, Main R&D areas of importance & excellence (according to ENV theme structure in FP) Section 2 – Experts part (Future trends and priorities) Problems met: low response from partners, low data consistency Reason: complicated task to be tackled Solution: use EUROSTAT and e-corda data and simplified data for all partners (validation of data by the partners)
