Do Now: We know that groundwater and river basins alone do not contain enough water to meet our present needs. Are there any ways that we can harvest the water so that rivers and groundwater can meet our needs? Explain your answer.

Aim: Is Building More Dams the Answer? Concept 13-3 Building dam-and-reservoir systems has greatly increased water supplies in some areas, but it has disrupted ecosystems and displaced people.
