Do You Know Your Place? Last week we discovered that God is the Potter and we are the Pot He created. This week, as God’s vessels, we will look at the Presence of God in our lives through the Third Person of the Trinity/ Godhead, The Holy Spirit.

The Book of Isaiah Chapter 30:1 “Woe to the obstinate children, declares the LORD, “to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit.” Our struggle is real: God’s Will or my will Jailhouse: “running your own program.”

God’s Will Relationship with Him! Relying on Him, not anything else. Recognizing His Love and Correction. Receiving the Salvation that comes from His Son, Jesus Christ! Realizing our purpose in this life.

How we goin’ do that? Isaiah 32:15 “…till the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field seems like a forest.” SPRING! Zechariah 4:6 “… ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD ALmighty.”

The “Ruach” of God Genesis 1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (2) Now the earth was formless and the darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”

Creation God spoke the universe into existence but He breathed you and me into life! Genesis 2:7 “…the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”

“ ‘till the Spirit is poured upon us…” Doom and Woe “The fortress will be abandoned, the noisy city deserted, citadel and watchtower will become a wasteland forever, the delight of donkeys, a pasture for flocks, till the Spirit is poured upon us from on high…” Isaiah 31:14-15

Isaiah 32:6-7 “For the fool speaks folly, his mind is busy with evil: He practices ungodliness and spreads error concerning the LORD; the hungry he leaves empty and from the thirsty he withholds water. The scoundrel’s methods are wicked, he makes up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just.”

Isaiah 61:1-2 “The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve…””
