SINCE THE END OF WORLD WAR II IMPORTANT RECORDS HAVE BEEN PUT ON MICROFILM DURING THE 1990’S AT THE PEAK OF FILM, KODAK ALONE WAS PRODUCING OVER 12M ROLLS/YEAR FILM WAS USED IN: MICROFILM JACKETS COM FICHE ROLL FILM APERTURE CARDS DOCUMENTS WERE FILMED WITH HIGH SPEED ROTARY DEVICES AND PLANETARY CAMERAS RETRIEVED USING SELF CONTAINED READER PRINTERS ADVANCED USERS HAD COMPUTER ASSISTED RETRIEVAL BY THE END OF THE 1990’S MANY COMPANIES HAD STARTED TO MOVE TO IMAGING AFTER IMAGING: “DON’T WORRY MICROFILM WILL EVENTUALLY GO AWAY” The Document Capture Specialists

WE STILL HAVE A LOT OF DOCUMENTS ON MICROFILM MANY ARE PERMANENT RECORDS MANY STILL CONTAIN ACTIVE INFORMATION MANY ARE STILL USING SAME EQUIPMENT FOR RETRIEVAL MANY GOVERNMENT AGENCY’S ARE STILL PRODUCING MICROFILM MANY ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO NEXT The Document Capture Specialists
