PMIF Primitive Methodist Investment Foundation, Inc. Phone: (570) Robert J. Thomas, CPA, Treasurer -PM Investment Foundation, Inc- What is it? The PMIF is a not-for-profit corporation. It is a separate legal entity under the PM Conference. It has existed since 1969 (43 years old). It promotes the growth and development of the PM Church in the US and abroad. It establishes an investment fund to make loans available to PM churches. It provides initial financing to new churches. It provides capital improvement financing to existing churches.

Make a tax deductable contribution to the PMIF in the furtherance of God’s work. Plan a gift to the PMIF upon your home going: Bequest by will – Name the PMIF as a beneficiary in your will. Life insurance policy – Name the PMIF as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy.

Thomas, CPA, Treasurer Invest in a Hybrid Savings Account PMIF pays its investors competitive savings account rates (currently 2.0%) for any size investment for any period of time. Funds invested are available to the investor upon demand. Simple interest is calculated daily and is paid or added to the investor’s account every 6 months (semi-annually). Account statements are mailed semi-annually following interest payment.

No. Any amount is accepted for investment and accounts may be earmarked for certain purposes (i.e. education fund, vacation fund, etc.) Can I add to my account? Additions to, or withdrawals from your account can be made at any time. Are my funds available when I need them? Yes. Funds are generally available with 1-3 business days of notice. Are my PMIF investments FDIC insured? No. PMIF funds are not FDIC insured as the PMIF is not a bank. Funds invested with the PMIF are SIPC insured with our investment manager.

Family members investments and gifts are welcome. Can I transfer my retirement savings accounts to the PMIF? No. The PMIF does not have the capability to receive pre-tax contributions from retirement savings accounts. Does the PMIF interest rate paid on investments change? Yes. It can change based upon PMIF Board direction. Any interest rate change is communicated in the next semi-annual statements to PMIF members.
