Conference Planning Subcommittee Accomplishments over the past year SciTech 2014  4 IS Sessions with 18 papers  Improvement from 3 sessions in 2013 & 2 in 2012 IS Roadmap Workshop 2014  Goal of 50 attendees, we have 52 registered  3 Break-out topics: Autonomy, UAS into NAS, Adaptive & Non-deterministic systems  Foster discussion for IS roadmap Challenges/Observations SciTech forum structure (From Chris’ charts) What are your goals for next year? Successful SciTech 2015  11 IS Sessions & 60 papers  2 Panels –Autonomy Research for Civil Aviation - E. Atkins –IS Roadmap Panel  David Casbeer (Chair)  Adnan Yucel (Co-chair)  Mark Abramson  Sam Adhikari  Ella Atkins  Mark Balas  Fernando Figueroa  Irene Gregory  Balajee Kannan  Rafal Kicinger  Elad Kivelevitch  Kevin Kochersberger  Amanda Lampton  Natasha Neogi  Nhan Nguyen  Eric Rozier  Julie Shah  Yuri Yushtein  Paul Zetocha Current Subcommittee Members

Scitech 2014 Update Technical Program Chair - Infotech  Chris Tschan Technical Discipline Chair for Intelligent Systems  Kevin Kochersberger Session Organizers  Elad Kivelevitch  Kelly Cohen  Adnan Yucel  Soon Jo Chung Accomplishments over the past year For the first time, we have been integrated into the Scitech forum.  We represent about 6% of the papers  Infotech is the 5 th largest entity at Scitech Increased transparency on when sessions are scheduled…more TC participation Maximized deconfliction…no more than two ISTC sessions at any time…often just one ISTC session What are your goals for next year? Make the interaction with other conference chairs a little easier Implement requirement for larger (5 page) abstracts in the Scitech 2016 Call for Papers Increase the rejection rate of abstracts to improve quality of papers and presentations  Intent is to make it comparable to other Scitech conferences, such as GNC Challenges/Observations Don’t know yet who will be tapped to be the Technical Program Chair for Infotech in 2016  If we knew, we’d be mentoring now  Have heard that Sanjay may want to do this  As long as 50% of the sessions come from ISTC, probably good to have an ISTC member do this Perhaps Kelly should approach Sanjay  Julie Shah  Ashok Srivastava  Nhan Nguyen  Chris Bowman

Scitech 2015 Call for Papers Information Systems – The Information segment of the SciTech2015 technical program provides a collaborative opportunity to share technical insight by professionals from Computer Systems, Communications Systems, Digital Avionics, Information and Command and Control Systems, Intelligent Systems, Sensor Systems, Software, and Unmanned Systems. General questions regarding the Information segment of SciTech2015 should be addressed to the Technical Program Chair, Chris Tschan. Chris Tschan Intelligent Systems Papers are sought in all areas of application of Intelligent System (IS) technologies and methods to aerospace systems, the verification and validation of these systems, and the education of the AIAA membership in the use of IS technologies in aerospace and other technical disciplines. The systems of interest include both military and commercial aerospace systems, and those ground systems that are part of test, development, or operations of aerospace systems. Technologies which enable safe and reliable operation of complex aerospace systems or sub-systems with minimal or no human intervention (autonomy), or collaborative synthetic-human agent teams are of interest. These include, but are not limited to: autonomous and expert systems, discrete planning/scheduling algorithms, intelligent data/image processing, learning and adaptive techniques, data fusion and reasoning, and knowledge engineering. Specific topics of interest are listed below. Learning, Reasoning and Data Driven Systems Human - Automation Interaction Probabilistic and Rule-Based Systems Adaptive and Intelligent Control Systems Integrated Systems Health Management (ISHM) Please direct questions to: Kevin Kochersberger Kevin Kochersberger Guidance, Navigation, and Control Conference PLEASE SUBMIT DRAFT PAPERS, NOT EXTENDED ABSTRACTS. Papers covering all aspects of guidance, navigation, and control of aerospace systems may be submitted. Specifically, papers should describe novel analytical techniques, applications, and technological developments in areas such as: the guidance, navigation, and control of aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, robotics, and other aerospace systems; general aviation; in-flight system architecture and components; navigation and position location; sensors and data fusion; multi disciplinary control; and GN&C concepts in air traffic control systems and high- speed flight. Control Theory, Analysis, and Design Intelligent Control in Aerospace Applications Mini/Micro Air Vehicle Guidance, Navigation, and Control Aircraft Guidance, Navigation, and Control Guidance, Navigation, and Control Concepts in Air Traffic Control Systems Missile Guidance, Navigation, and Control Space Exploration and Transportation Guidance, Navigation, and Control Spacecraft Guidance, Navigation, and Control Multi-Vehicle Control Aerospace Robotics and Autonomous/Unmanned Systems Human and Autonomous/Unmanned Systems Sensor Systems for Guidance, Navigation, and Control Novel Navigation, Estimation, and Tracking Methods Invited Sessions Please direct questions to: John ReedJohn Reed
