New Territory

The melting of glaciers are causing penguins to be forced into “New Territory's”. There is a solution to this problem. Fishers in the Ross Sea! You’d be surprised, but those fishers catch a lot of the Antarctic tooth fish. The penguins and fish compete for food so it’s good for the penguins and bad for the tooth fish!

New Territory The Adelie penguins have expanded in 71% over the last five decades. What else happened? The number of breeding pairs increased 84% since 1983! This happened because of melting snow patches and glacier retreat.

Trapped

The Canadian Sea’s killer whales are being trapped under the ice! Do we have solutions? You bet we do! Residents of the Canadian Quebec Village are going to help in the solution to this problem. These residents have posted videos online for people to see and help.

Female or Male?

Female to Male! That’s what happening. Depending on the temperature of the weather the male population of turtles are increasing and the females decreasing. Global warming is making the males increase. Eventually, the turtles will go extinct because the females have the infants. Although, the world has solutions! If the turtles would nest when it’s cooler then it would possibly work. A research team developed a plan where that if the land warmed by a good four degrees so they just have to make them lay their eggs three weeks earlier. The turtles could also nest in shady spots.
