Student Athletic Fees (NEW NEXT YEAR) The idea behind student athletic fees are to recoup expenditures in order to bring spending in the athletic department into balance. Each student will be required to pay a non-negotiable fee of $20 in order to be eligible for participation on a school team There is a max fee of $60 per year for students who participate on 3 or more teams. Exceptions to the Athletic fee are Cheerleading and Ice Hockey as they have a higher built in cost each year. Badminton, Track and Field, and Cross Country will have a discounted non-negotiable fee of $10.

GCJH Community and Business Donation Program Students and teachers will be asked to help communicate the needs of the school in hopes of generation cash or equipment donations. All families and business groups who help with donations will receive a type-written thank you letters from the athletic department and one student athlete All contributions will be recognized on the “Boosters of Wildcat PE and Athletics” wall inside the gymnasium for all members of the school and community to see

GCJH Community Sponsorship Program Levels of Donations Sponsor a Student - $20 Sponsor a Intramural Club - $20 Sponsor a Player - $50 Sponsor a Game - $30 Sponser a Team - $400

Sponsor a Student - $20 When you sponsor a student your donation will go to the “Education Program” and help replenish broken or missing equipment, help pay for special instrcutors (Dance, Yoga etc), or any other special circumstance or activity needed in the day to day operation of PE classes.

Sponsor an Intramural Club - $20 When you sponsor an Intramural Club your donation will go to the “Intramural and Club Program” and help purchase referee whistles and equipment, and purchase ribbons for participants.

Sponsor a Player - $50 When you sponsor a player your donation will go to the “Team Sports Program” and help replenish game balls, jerseys, and supplement official and referee fees.

Sponsor a Team - $400 When you sponsor a team your donation will go to the “Team Sports Program”. Since this is the largest sponsorship option, all donors will have the ability to request their donation to go into the general “Team Sports Program”, or they can choose a specific group to target with their donation. An example of this would be Sally’s father runs a business and would like to purchase new uniforms for the cross country team.

Children’s Fitness Tax Credit You can claim to a maximum of $500 per child the fees paid in 2011 relating to the cost of registering your or your spouse's or common-law partner's child in a prescribed program of physical activity. “Fees charged for extra-curricular programs that take place in school are eligible for the Chiildren’s Fitness Tax Credit as per Revenue Canada.” tx/rtrn/cmpltng/ddctns/lns /365/rgnztns- eng.htmlhttp:// tx/rtrn/cmpltng/ddctns/lns /365/rgnztns- eng.html

Thank You from the students and staff of Graham Creighton!
