Geometry December 9 & 10

Bell Ringer 12/9 – 10minutes 1. What is a vertex? In angle ∠XYZ, what is vertex? 2. What is an angle bisector? If ∠EFG is bisected by ray FH, what are the two congruent angles? 3. Convert 5.6 yards to meters

What is a vertex? Where two rays meet to form an angle. In angle∠XYZ, what is vertex? The vertex is the middle point, therefore vertex is Y.

What is an angle bisector? A ray that divides an angle into two congruent angles. If ∠EFG is bisected by ray FH, what are the two congruent angles? The two angles are ∠EFH and ∠GFH.

Convert 5.6 yards to meters Given 5.6 yards Conversions 1 yards = 3 feet 1 foot = m

Convert 5.6 yards to meters 5.6 yards x 3 feet x meter = 1 yard 1 foot 5.12 meters
