 As a candidate at a European Parliament election, you are entitled to send one election letter free of postage charge to every elector in the constituency.  If you are a member of a political party with another candidate in the constituency, you will only be allowed one election letter free of postage charge between you.  Election Date 11th June 2004  The number of Irish MEPs will drop from 15 to 13 at the next elections: –ref: constituency commission constituency commissionconstituency commission  4 MEPs will be elected in Dublin and 3 in each of the other constituencies.  The three constituencies outside Dublin are to be renamed as follows:  Leinster - 'East';  Munster - 'South';  and Connacht Ulster - 'North West'.  Co Clare is to be tranferred from the constituency of Munster to the new constituency of North West
